SOLAR CARE+ TECHNICAL SERVICE CENTER
A MEMBER OF ELECTRIC BIRD

With years of experience in operating, maintaining, and servicing solar energy systems, along with a team of dedicated and professional engineers, Electric Bird has established the Solar Care+ Technical Service Center. Our mission is to provide support and resolve technical issues related to inverters and solar energy systems, ensuring that your system operates efficiently and durably for a reasonable duration.

Signs of Inverter Malfunction

When an inverter malfunctions, solar panels continue producing DC power but cannot convert it into usable AC power for connected loads. This means the solar power system halts, failing to supply alternative energy to devices connected to the grid.

Typically, after continuous operation, inverters may encounter issues. If you notice the following signs, your inverter might be faulty

Common Inverter Errors

How to Repair Solar Energy Inverters

Inverter not Powering On

Possible causes could be a malfunction in the inverter itself or issues with the solar panels or the power source supplying the inverter..

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1.  Check if the solar panels are functioning and if there’s an uninterrupted electrical path to the inverter. If either of these is compromised, the inverter won’t power on.
  2.  Inspect the connections and junctions between the inverter and the solar panels to ensure they’re secure and not loose.
  3.  Examine the power module to identify any damaged components that might need replacement.
  4. Check for any broken or faulty circuits to proceed with repairs.
  5. For these types of issues, repairing the inverter can often be straightforward.

Inverter Power Failure:

The cause might be due to the Inverter operating beyond its capacity, prolonged usage leading to component oxidation causing breakage or malfunction, or incorrect operational procedures, etc.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Avoid overloading the Inverter with excessive loads.

  2. Inspect and measure the power components. If damaged, replace or repair them.

  3. This is a critical error requiring thorough and careful testing and resolution

Intermittent Operation of the Inverter

This issue is often challenging to pinpoint, but it commonly stems from a malfunction in the control board.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. If the problem lies with the control board, replace it.

  2. Check for any broken connections, loose or detached connector jacks..

  3. This issue is less frequent but may require significant time for repair

Inverter Fan Malfunction

  1. Check the cable wires and power port connections.

  2. Inspect the temperature level.

  3. Verify the fan settings on the inverter.

  4. Check the sensors

The remedy is to replace the fan for the solar energy inverter.
